Our vision is to provide a range of holistic, culturally sensitive services for the communities of Lanarkshire, drawing on our Islamic values and heritage, with a view to improving quality of life and enhancing community cohesion.
Lanarkshire Central Mosque offers a range of accessible prayer facilities, including separate areas for men and women, wheelchair access, and restrooms designed for visitors with mobility needs. Additionally, the mosque provides ablution (wudu) facilities and ample parking, ensuring convenience for worshippers and visitors alike.
Lanarkshire Central Mosque’s maktab program serves around 300 students each evening, offering Quranic and foundational Islamic education for young learners in a structured setting. Supported by community donations, the program reflects the mosque’s dedication to religious education and community welfare.
We are open to visits, especially from schools for educational purposes. Visitors are welcome at Lanarkshire Central Mosque, particularly during events like Scotland’s Doors Open Days, which offer insights into Islamic culture and community life. Located in Bellshill, the mosque provides visitor-friendly facilities such as separate prayer spaces, accessible restrooms, and parking.
